︎ THE TREE lighting system
Experimental project based on three very important concepts for me: SUSTAINABILITY, ERGONOMY AND TECHNOLOGY.
I consider the product as an integration of different kinds of lighting, that is, not as a lighting element, but as a group of elements, technologies and materials that form only a concept and, as a result, a system.
While working on this project, I observed the need of adaptability to the constant changes that everything currently suffers, the constant pursuit of user’s identity and the system, which more and more often forces us to individualism, as well as the technological trends, where we can see a necessary change of direction towards sustainability and the capacity of interaction between user and technology, which is achieved by the simplification of this relationship. At a perceptive and formal level, all of this can be transmitted within an avant-garde visual concept, taking movements such as neoplasticism, constructivism and suprematism through abstraction to get to a formal minimalism perception as the starting point.

CAMPER walk in progress PACKAGING ︎
Giving priority to sustainability and taking into account that the second use is the most effective means of recycling, our box can also be reutilized as a shoe-storage-furniture.
We achieve this goal by devising a pile-up steady system for the boxes, which forms a drawer modular structure. This grants great versatility, since the size and the shape of the furniture will be established according to the number of boxes or to the way we would like to pile them up.
The product’s packaging should reflect the characteristics of the product that we want to point out. In this case, we will reflect the philosophy of the brand by using different types of resources: The non-bleached cardboard that we use, which also has a recycled appearance, is treated with the least harmful possible way for the environment in every phase. Therefore, it transmits the practical and sustainable way of life that the brand wants to reflect.
At the same time, the printing’s quality, the graphic’s simplicity and the packaging’s resistance intends to show the great deal of care taken over the details and the quality of Camper shoes.
The reference to the youthful and versatile look of the brand is achieved through an external graphic image and also through the contribution of the packaging’s second use as a shoe-storage-furniture, which also stresses the importance of a sustainable way of life.
We decided to use the concept “Walk in progress” for the graphic image of our packaging. A succession of freehand draws of simple stroke was created, mixed together with comic bubbles, where the user can write whatever it comes into his head. This fact helps to create different graphic compositions for the shoe-storage-furniture once it is assembled, so that it would be unique for every consumer.
